This site is the personal website of Joshua Cornutt. It is built to respect your privacy by default. It sets no tracking cookies, runs no advertising networks, and shares no personal data with data brokers. This page explains the limited information the site handles and why.

No tracking cookies

This site does not use cookies to identify, profile, or track visitors, and it does not use any cross-site or advertising trackers. Because nothing tracking-related is stored on your device, there is no cookie consent banner to click through.

Analytics (cookieless)

To understand roughly how the site is used, it runs a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool. Umami records aggregate, anonymized information only, and it does not set cookies or build a profile of you across sites. The data it collects is limited to items such as:

Pages viewed and the time of the visit
The referring website or source, if any
General location at the country level
Browser, operating system, and device type

This analytics data is hosted on infrastructure operated by the site owner and is not sold or shared with third parties. It is used only to understand general traffic trends.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare)

This site is served through Cloudflare, which provides content delivery, encryption, and protection against abuse. To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare necessarily processes connection information such as your IP address and basic request metadata. This processing is standard for any website and is used to route traffic, terminate TLS, and block malicious activity. For details, see Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation.

If you contact me

If you send a message to an address on this domain, such as [email protected], that message is forwarded to a personal mailbox and used solely to read and respond to your inquiry. Your email address and the contents of your message are not added to any marketing list and are not shared with third parties.

No advertising or data sales

This site displays no advertising, embeds no third-party ad or social tracking pixels, and never sells or rents any information about its visitors.

Your choices and rights

Because the site uses cookieless, aggregate analytics and sets no tracking identifiers, it holds essentially no information that can be tied back to you as an individual.
